Breast lift with implants price is determined by multiple factors. The first determinant of pricing is based on the operative time it takes your surgeon to perform both a breast lift and implant placement.

Although the breast implant placement usually takes ½ hour to 1 hour, a breast lift can take up to 3 to 5 hours depending on the surgeon and his/her team. Thus, a breast lift portion of the surgery may cost 2 to 3 times the price of the breast augmentation.

Breast lift with implants revision is very common following primary breast augmentation. There are multiple reasons why breast lifts with implants revision may be recommended following primary breast augmentation and these include nipple position asymmetry, breast mound shape and size asymmetry, use of overly large breast implant that resulted in nipple and areola being malpositioned over the inferior breast mound, and bottoming out.

If your nipple and areola are asymmetrically positioned, a breast augmentation with an implant alone is not able to correct the nipple position. Instead, a breast lift should have been recommended with your primary breast augmentation.

Breast lift with implants surgery is complex because it requires keeping the nipple and areola alive despite relocating it to a higher, more desirable position. When moving the nipple-areola up to its new position, back cuts are made into the breast skin. This results in a compromise of horizontal blood flow to the nipple such that the nipple must survive based on blood flow from deep to superficial only. Unfortunately, the deep to superficial blood flow is further compromised by the added pressure created by having a breast implant positioned and centered under the nipple and areola complex. As a result, it is critical to assess the degree of ptosis and the breast mound size desired.

The variable incision line lies in the inframammary crease and its length is determined by how much breast tissue sagging is there. For example, if there is more sagging laterally than medially, then the incision length is longer along the lateral than the medial aspect of the breast. When there is minimal medial breast sagging, then no incision line extension will be visible along the medial breast. In the latter scenario, the incision will appear like a “J” rather than an anchor incision.

Regardless, all incisions are repaired using a comprehensive technique that utilizes three layers of closure including the mammary fascia as well as two layers of the skin. In addition, internal PDS sutures are used that are absorbable but only after three months.
