Butt Implant Cost
How the Butt Implant Cost Is Counted
The butt implant cost follows the length of the operation. The length follows the number of surgical maneuvers the plan requires. The starting shape and size of the buttock, and the buttock the patient wants, decide those maneuvers. A longer list of maneuvers is a longer operation, and a longer operation is a higher fee.

Once the plan is chosen, the time can be estimated from the maneuvers, and the butt implant cost is calculated from that time. An isolated implant and an implant plus liposuction are not the same operation, so they are not the same fee.
The maneuvers are the work itself. Placing the implant is one. Harvesting fat is another. Placing that fat along the lateral buttock is another. Etching the abdomen is another. A tuck that cuts away loose skin is another. The consult is where that list is written down. Two people can both ask for a larger buttock and still need different lists.
A patient who starts with a small buttock and little fat does not have the same list as a patient who starts with loose skin and a wide frame. The first may be the implant alone. The second may be the implant, the harvest, and the tuck. The fee is that list. It is not the word implant standing by itself.
Central Projection With an Implant Alone
A request for central buttock prominence only is the plan this article calls a Cali buttock shape. Central projection means the center of the buttock cheek, and nothing wider. That patient is a candidate for buttock implant augmentation alone. The look described for that isolated implant is an athletic one, because the volume sits in the center rather than across the hip.
On this operation the implant is placed in the gluteus maximus. That muscle sits over the center of the buttock cheek, which is why an implant alone changes the center and not the outer hip. When central prominence is the whole goal, the butt implant cost commonly ranges from $10,000 to $12,000.
An implant is the recommendation when the goal is extremely prominent central projection, or when there is not enough fat to move. Fat grafting to the buttock may not be an option when body fat is under 5 to 8 percent, even if only a moderate size is wanted. Fat that is transferred is placed in the fat layer over the muscle, including the lateral buttock. It is not placed in the muscle. The implant is the part that sits in the gluteus maximus.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes buttock enhancement with implants as its own operation, separate from fat transfer. The $10,000 to $12,000 range above is the isolated central range used here. It is not a national surgeon-fee average, and it does not include a liposuction plan that was never added.
The opening photograph is a 42-year-old woman after a revision that placed buttock implants and also transferred fat to the lateral buttock. The upper and middle buttocks are the projected areas in that caption. That case is the combined plan. Its butt implant cost is not the isolated $10,000 to $12,000 range by itself, because the fat transfer is a second maneuver.
When the Frame Needs Contouring
The fee also changes with the body frame. A frame that needs contouring adds high-definition liposuction. Lateral buttock filling, together with the lateral thighs, the medial thighs, and the lower back and flanks, requires fat harvesting as well as the implant. The fat has to be taken before it can be placed along the lateral buttock.
The shape some patients describe needs more than the central implant. It can include contour of the lateral buttock, a narrower waist, a thigh gap, or filling of the lateral hips. Each of those is another maneuver, and each one adds time. The operative time is what pushes the fee, not a separate rate invented for the waist or the thigh.

The service designations for this patient include BBL / Fat Transfer, Buttock Implants, and BBL Revision. 42-year-old female underwent BBL revision demonstrating aesthetically projected upper and middle buttocks following placement of buttock implants as well as fat transfer to the lateral buttock region.
Depending on how much of that contouring is required, the bill may rise by another $10,000 to $15,000 on top of the implant. That added range is for the contouring. It is not a replacement for the isolated implant range, and it is not a quote for every frame.
The lateral thigh, the medial thigh, the lower back, and the flank are four areas. Treating all four is not the same maneuver as treating one of them. The added $10,000 to $15,000 is the span for that contouring. Where a plan lands inside the span depends on how many of those areas are included. The span is not divided into a separate price for each area.
Some patients add 360 liposuction, which here means contouring around the torso, or they add abdominal etching. Either request lengthens the operation beyond the implant. The fee for those plans is the implant plus the contouring time, counted from the areas that were actually marked.
Maximum Size Around the Implant
Buttock size is its own line on the bill. Maximum size and shape is what this article calls a bubble butt. Filling that shape can require full-body liposuction so there is enough fat for the lateral hips, the upper, middle, and lower lateral buttocks, and the upper and lower projection around the centrally placed implant.
The central implant supplies the middle of that shape. The fat supplies the rest: the hips at the side, the lateral buttock above and below the middle, and the projection just around the implant. If the harvest is short, those outer areas stay flat even though the center is full. That is why maximum size is not an implant-only request. The fat has to be there to move, which is the same limit as the 5 to 8 percent body-fat line. Under that line, fat transfer may not be available, and the maximum shape cannot be built from fat the patient does not have.
Those patients should expect a higher fee, because the surgeon has to harvest enough fat to transfer around the implant. Knowing the isolated implant number still matters. It is the starting figure. The silhouette then decides how far past that figure the harvest and the contouring have to go. A board-certified surgeon is who turns that silhouette into a time estimate. The estimate is not a single number that ignores the start point.
Skin the Implant Does Not Remove
Moderate to extensive buttock skin sagging is the last factor that changes the butt implant cost. A solid silicone implant accommodates minimal to moderate skin redundancy. It does not remove a large sheet of loose skin. When the redundancy is moderately extensive, a butt lift is added, and that lift is a buttock tuck rather than a fat transfer.
Minimal redundancy means the skin can lie over the new central volume without a sheet of skin being cut away. Moderate redundancy is the upper end of what the solid implant is described as accommodating. Once the looseness is extensive, the heart-shaped cut is what shortens the skin. Placing the implant and leaving that loose skin in place does not finish the shape the tuck is meant to finish.
A Brazilian Butt Lift, in this distinction, is limited to fat transfer. A buttock tuck uses a heart-shaped excision along the junction of the upper buttock and the lower back. That excision is what removes moderate to extensive skin. Adding the tuck increases the cost because it is another maneuver, with its own time, on top of the implant.

From this angle, the BBL Revision result is easier to follow. 42-year-old female underwent BBL revision demonstrating aesthetically projected upper and middle buttocks following placement of buttock implants as well as fat transfer to the lateral buttock region.
Cities where liposuction and these buttock operations are done do not replace the maneuver count. The city is not a line on the $10,000 to $12,000 range or on the added contouring range. The ranges stay tied to what is done in the operating room.
Frequently Asked Questions
For central prominence with an implant alone, the range used here is $10,000 to $12,000. That figure is the implant operation. Fat transfer, torso liposuction, and a buttock tuck are not inside it.
Contouring of the frame. High-definition liposuction, fat harvest for the lateral buttock and hips, 360 liposuction, and abdominal etching are the additions named here. How much of that work is required is what moves the added amount. It is not added to every isolated implant.
When redundancy is more than minimal to moderate. The solid silicone implant is for that smaller amount of loose skin. A heart-shaped buttock tuck is the added operation when the skin is moderately extensive, and that tuck is priced as extra time.
